This brief course in the Calculus is intended not only for the class-room, but for the student without a teacher, who hopes to acquire some knowledge of the working principles of the Calculus in a short time.

The book presupposes some knowledge of Geometry, a working knowledge of Algebra through logarithms, and a thorough knowledge of the elements of Trigonometry. Equation of a Locus. Any equation involving x^ y and constants is the equation of a locus. Thus (3) is the equation of a locus — the circle.

I used this book last year and am going to buy it because the book in my current math course is terribly confusing. Bill's book makes calculus a whole lot simpler - and actually, a little more fun.

This book is the great companion book of "Brief Calculus with Applications" and is very helpful as needed. A great value, a great purchase.
